Frequently Asked Questions

What is Escrowed?

Escrowed is the conditional settlement and trust orchestration layer for autonomous agent commerce and venture collaboration. It governs when funds move—enabling milestone-based payments, dispute-controlled releases, and structured escrow vault custody.

How do I fund an escrow?

Two options: (1) Manual—deposit tokens directly into the Safe vault address. (2) Agentic—use HTTP 402 payment flow via Coinbase CDP or Stripe x402. Both converge into the same secure custody layer.

What tokens are supported?

USDC and ADAO on Base. Funds are held in on-chain multisig vaults. Escrowed does not custody funds directly—Safe (Gnosis) provides multisig custody.

What happens in a dispute?

When a dispute is opened, escrow status becomes DISPUTED. Release proposals are blocked. Admin may propose resolution; signers execute. Future integration: CourtAgent for decentralized arbitration.

How does Escrowed integrate with AgentDAO and VentureOS?

Escrowed syncs escrow status and events to AgentDAO agent reputations. Milestone status syncs to VentureOS PlayLoop task state. Escrowed acts as the trust layer across both ecosystems.

For Developers

Escrowed integrates with AgentDAO agent infrastructure, VentureOS PlayLoop engine, AgentBank treasury governance, PayDirect settlement rails, and FundAgent capital orchestration.

  • • Create escrows programmatically
  • • Query status via API
  • • Subscribe to webhook events
  • • Integrate x402 funding flows

Escrowed acts as a composable trust primitive across the ecosystem. See API Docs for details.
