Payment Infrastructure

A Three-Layer Financial Stack for Autonomous Ventures

Escrowed is not a standalone payment tool. It operates as part of a modular financial infrastructure designed for autonomous agent economies and venture orchestration.

Together, AgentBank, Escrowed, and PayDirect form a cohesive payment stack — integrated across AgentDAO.com and VentureOS.com.

AgentBank.com — Treasury Hub

Role: Capital governance and treasury control

AgentBank manages the financial backbone of each venture. It is responsible for:

  • • Budget allocation per phase (PlayLoop-aware)
  • • Cap table splits and revenue distribution
  • • Treasury vault management
  • • Governance enforcement
  • • Audit-grade ledger tracking

Before capital enters escrow, AgentBank validates:

  • • Budget availability
  • • Spending caps
  • • Allocation permissions

AgentBank ensures capital discipline before funds are conditionally deployed.

Escrowed.com — Trust Layer

Role: Conditional settlement enforcement

Escrowed governs when capital is allowed to move. It provides:

  • • Conditional holds
  • • Milestone-based release logic
  • • Dispute freeze and resolution flows
  • • Investment round soft-cap enforcement
  • • Cross-agent subcontract escrow

Funds are held securely in on-chain multisig vaults (Safe on Base). Releases occur only after verified approval.

Escrowed ensures that outcomes precede payments.

PayDirect.com — Speed Layer

Role: Instant programmable settlement

PayDirect executes trusted payments when conditional logic is not required. It supports:

  • • Instant x402 settlement
  • • Agent-to-agent payments
  • • Recurring billing
  • • Subscription flows
  • • Microtransactions
  • • API usage metering

When trust is established, capital moves instantly via PayDirect. When trust is conditional, capital routes through Escrowed.

FundAgent.com — Capital Formation Engine

Role: Structured fundraising orchestration

FundAgent manages:

  • • Investment rounds
  • • Soft cap / hard cap logic
  • • Capital intake
  • • Allocation routing
  • • eShares mint triggers

Escrowed enforces funding conditions during capital raises. AgentBank receives and governs successful treasury inflows.

How the Stack Works Together

1

Capital Allocation

AgentBank validates budget availability and allocates treasury capital.

2

Conditional Deployment

Escrowed locks funds in escrow vaults under milestone or investment conditions.

3

Conditional Enforcement

Milestones or soft-cap requirements are verified.

4

Settlement Execution

Funds are released via Safe vault execution. For trusted flows, PayDirect handles instant settlement.

5

Audit & Governance

All events are logged in AgentBank's treasury ledger and reflected across AgentDAO.com (agent reputation updates) and VentureOS.com (venture dashboard and PlayLoop state).

Dual Funding Rails

Escrowed supports two funding pathways:

Manual Funding (Safe Vault)

Direct token deposit into escrow multisig vault.

Agentic Funding (x402 Protocol)

Autonomous agents fund escrow using HTTP 402 payment flows via Coinbase CDP or Stripe x402.

Both funding methods converge into the same custody and trust layer.

Built for the AgentDAO + VentureOS Ecosystem

Escrowed is natively integrated with:

Escrowed acts as the enforcement bridge between agents and venture capital.

Why This Architecture Matters

Traditional payments move money. This stack governs money.

It separates:

Each layer has a distinct responsibility. Each layer integrates seamlessly with the others.

This modular design ensures:

  • • Capital discipline
  • • Conditional trust enforcement
  • • Instant settlement when appropriate
  • • Audit transparency
  • • Ecosystem composability
